The chemical composition of UNS S32750/ S32760 Buttweld Fittings wherein the basic makeup includes a high content of elements like chromium, nickel and molybdenum. Together, these elements make for a markedly improved Super Duplex Elbow Fittings where the alloy is not prone to get decayed by either intergranular corrosion or pitting corrosion. Additions of nitrogen in the alloy promote structural hardening of the Super Duplex Stainless Steel Pipe Fittings by interstitial solid solution mechanism. During this process, nitrogen improves the yield strength and ultimate strength values without any significant loss on its toughness characteristics. Furthermore, the two-phase microstructure as seen in the Super Duplex 2507 Pipe Fittings guarantees an increase in resistance to pitting and SCC or stress related corrosion cracking as opposed to the more traditional stainless steels grades. The corrosion resistance of Super Duplex Fittings extends to the highly corrosive halogen containing solutions including chlorine and bromine.
