The percentage of other elements in Low AS Pipe Fittings is less than 5% and if the total alloying content in the material ranges between 5% to about 50%, the said metal is defined as high alloy steels.

For example, copper improves resistance to marine environments, whereas chromium improves the resistance of Chromoly Pipe Fittings to oxidation. Chromium in Chromium Alloy Steel Buttweld Fittings also improves resistance to corrosive solutions, such as acids, neutral solutions or even alkaline solutions. Molybdenum and nickel also improve the yield strength and general corrosion resistance properties. Nickel a desirable element by itself exhibits outstanding properties at elevated temperatures. By adding nickel to Alloy Steel Forged Fittings the material is able to not only withstand high temperatures but it also demonstrates excellent performance.
